Position Overview:
The Senior Network and Security Architect candidate will be dedicated to driving Networking and Security solutions with a focus on customer satisfaction and collaborating with customers, vendors, and other teams within Compugen. This role requires an individual with senior-level pre-sales experience, as their primary focus will be on pre-sales activity such as whiteboarding, workshops, and architectural discussions. While the emphasis is on pre-sales, a limited portion of the role will involve delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Network and Security Lead to Compugen’s public sector team and its clients to understand, evaluate, and recommend the best solutions to business and technical requirements.
- Ability to deliver professional, formal presentations and lead whiteboarding sessions on Networking and Security solutions for customers and internal teams, effectively showcasing strategies, technologies, and solutions.
- Be accountable for pre-sales technical assistance and correct configuration on Networking and Security solutions, generating targeted customer solutions to the sales teams to meet customer needs. This includes assisting with RFP (Request for Proposals) responses.
- Proactively promote Compugen's full portfolio of products and services.
- Have intimate knowledge of the major vendor solutions (Fortinet, Cisco, HPE Aruba, Palo Alto, Zscaler) including competitive offerings, strengths and weaknesses.
- Share knowledge of the account(s) with the rest of the account team and contribute to the account planning process and opportunity review process.
- Be responsible for knowledge transfer and act as an evangelist within the organization to sales and other technical resources (i.e. Executive Briefings)
- Maintain a positive total customer experience (TCE) by managing new product technology introductions, escalating issues as appropriate and owning/managing issue resolution.
- Be an advocate of Compugen's capabilities and technology offerings.
- Build and develop relationships with key technical influencers, decision-makers, and top executives.
- Develop and maintain close co-operative contact with the partner community ensuring timely information exchange and problem resolution.
- Show quality initiative, be proactive & demonstrate accountability to Compugen's opportunities
- Pursue certifications as required.
- Act in a professional manner at all business-related meetings, presentations and events and be able to present with impact.
- Up to 20% Project Delivery is expected
- 5+ years’ experience working with the Canadian Federal Government.
- College or University education or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of Networking and Security experience, specifically with the integration of the domains.
- Strong leadership skills are required to drive technical conversations and value propositions to clients. This role also involves shaping go-to-market technology strategies and working closely with internal teams and vendor technical staff on Compugen opportunities. Key attributes include a strong commitment to clients, vendors, and internal teams, as well as proactivity and accountability in delivering successful outcomes.
- Excellent customer-facing skills with strong verbal, written, and listening skills, professionalism, confidence, business case analytical skills, presentation skills, and time management skills.
- Develop and manage complex projects related to network and security infrastructure.
- Valid Industry qualifications are an asset: NSE 7 or 8, CCNA, CCNP, PCNSA, PCNSE, CISSP, ACDX.
- Training and understanding of large-scale enterprise deployments.
- Relevant experience in designing, architecting, and implementing Security-based solutions, following structured project methodologies and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to keep up to date with current security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Highly self-motivated and detailed oriented
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Bilingualism (written and spoken) to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders is an asset.
- Must have, or be eligible for, Level II (SECRET) Canadian Government issued Security Clearance
- May be required to work after-hours
- Must be able to work on-site at Compugen Ottawa Office or at vendors or client facilities
- Occasional travel may be required
