Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join us as an Elementary Secretary, assisting the Principal in the efficient administration of the school office. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including producing report cards, correspondence, staff lists, newsletters, registrations, desktop publishing, inputting student assessment data, website maintenance, and more. Additionally, you will handle attendance administration, School Banking/SchoolCash Online transactions, and electronic requisitioning through Sparkrock.
Skills, Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of Ministry of Education reports and guidelines
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel), and Aspen
General knowledge of office procedures and school programs
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in desktop publishing, budgeting, and registration processes
Grade 12 education (minimum one-year College diploma in Office Administration preferred)
Equivalent of ten (10) working months of clerical/secretarial experience within the past two (2) years, preferably in a school or Board setting.
