The location in Port Alberni, British Columbia, Canada, is seeking talent to fill the position of Process Engineers. This job is full-time permanent.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager, the process engineer is responsible for continually looking at ways to improve quality and operations.
The incumbent is responsible for driving the process of machine optimization and will work as a member of a team to provide continuous improvement. This position also provides technical support for the daily operation of the mill.
The Process Engineer works with maintenance and operations teams to ensure the achievement of MBOS objectives including safety, involvement, production, quality, cost and other joint objectives.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:
- Identify ways to reduce costs.
- Improve production through process changes.
- Investigate new technologies and ways to apply to operations.
- Collaborate with customer service.
- Investigate quality issues.
- Develop methods to improve quality.
- New product development/grade specification/
- Oversee all control testing.
- Technology transfer
Salary $100,000 - $115,000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity).
