Are YOU our next Financial Analyst?
We’re looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team in Brampton, Ontario. You will be working closely with various cross functional business partners across the organization to support various accounting tasks and initiatives to help ensure company financials are reported in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. You will be responsible for managing month end close processes, performing Balance Sheet reconciliations. and supporting monthly internal financial reporting.
This is a temporary, full-time position for 6 months.

How YOU will make a difference:
- Examine and analyze various general ledger accounts and prepare required month end and quarter end journal entries.
- Process and post various accounting batches.
- Update, review and distribute key internal P&L and Balance Sheet reports.
- Review, validate, and provide explanations for various Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Work with Finance and Accounting colleagues and leadership to maintain, update and track adherence to month end deadlines.
- Support the Accounts Payable team as required in preparing and processing various payment schedules.
- Assist the Accounts Payable team as required in reconciling discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders.
- Key contributor towards optimization of various reporting and general Accounting processes.
- Actively participate in meetings and effectively produce and communicate analysis, insights, and recommendations.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required.
What YOU bring to the role:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. CPA certification or enrollment in a CPA program is preferred.
- Strong Excel proficiency.
- Experience with Great Plains accounting software an asset.
- Proficiency with other MS Office Suite programs (PowerPoint, Word).
- Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to details.
- Strong business acumen and Accounting process understanding.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage constraints and competing priorities.
- Demonstrated success at building relationships and collaborating with a network of internal and external colleagues and subject matter experts.
