Are YOU our next Senior Financial Analyst?
We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team in Brampton, Ontario. You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making. This role requires experience in statutory reporting, experience working with a US parent public company, and proficiency with Great Plains.
This is a temporary, full-time position for 6 months.

How YOU will make a difference:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly reporting packages for the US parent company including analysis
- Statutory Compliance: Ensure all financial reporting complies with statutory requirements and regulations.
- US Parent Company Reporting: Coordinate and prepare financial reports for the US parent company, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Journal Entries: Prepare journal entries as needed at month-end close.
- Analysis and Insights: Provide detailed financial analyses and recommendations to management to facilitate strategic decision-making.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare tax packages for submission.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate quarterly audits and reviews with external auditors, ensuring deadlines are met and requests are satisfied.
- Internal Controls: Oversee the documentation and maintenance of internal controls related to financial reporting.
- Process Improvement: Propose and implement improvements to financial management processes to optimize efficiency and transparency.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical accounting expertise on new transactions and contracts.
- Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with head office, internal/external auditors, and various departments to present accurate financial information.
- Technology Implementation: Implement new technologies or tools to facilitate the management and analysis of financial information.
What YOU bring to the role:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. CPA certification or enrollment in a CPA program is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in statutory reporting and audit coordination.
- Experience with tax compliance and preparation of tax packages.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software (experience with Great Plains and/or Oracle Fusion is a plus).
- Experience with US GAAP and SEC reporting an asset
