The Vulnerability Management Advisor is responsible for supporting operations by independently identifying, analyzing, disseminating and validating vulnerabilities, as well as providing overall guidance to various stakeholders to proactively remediate detections and reduce risk to the business.

What You Will Do:

  • Independently oversee and coordinate the vulnerability management process of identifying, analyzing, and reporting of vulnerabilities to key stakeholders.

  • Monitor and analyze external attack surface to identify, report, and lead mitigation efforts of potential security threats.

  • Lead meetings with stakeholders and provide recommendations, guidance and oversight to remediation.

  • Provide guidance, direction and support to the managed service provider in completing their duties that drive expected levels of service delivery.

  • Recommend and implement configuration improvements to the department’s technology stack.

  • Identify and develop new operations-related efficiency opportunities.

  • Identify and advise on evolving threats.

  • Oversee the development, enhancement and documentation of processes and workflows.

Who You Are:

Required:

  • Degree/diploma in Information Systems, Information Security, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

  • 4+ years of directly related work experience.

  • Experience with Vulnerability Management technologies (ie - Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7).

  • Experience and understanding of the fundamentals of vulnerability management.

  • Experience in security operations, networking, deployment and data analytics.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, technical writing, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with global teams and facilitate meaningful conversations in a group setting.

  • Ability to work with a high level of independence.

Preferred:

  • IT security certifications (GCIH, etc).

  • Knowledge of Power BI for dashboarding.
