This role is a leadership role which provides senior level technical expertise and directs a team that is responsible for the execution of sophisticated contracts ranging from initial contracting strategy and development to contract execution / administration in accordance with Company contracting policies and procedures. You will manage office and field-based employees and contractors in support of Major, Core and Programs based projects.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for oversight and execution of sophisticated construction and services contracts in support of projects with values in the millions and up to and exceeding $1B USD.

  • Develop complex supply chain strategies to deliver value through contracting to 3rd parties to implement Enbridge projects.

  • Working independently on sophisticated SCM issues/problems and solving them and leading complex negotiations to meet business goals and objectives.

  • Ensuring coordination with internal and external partners and building positive relationships.

  • Responsible for the successful day-to-day delivery of SCM services performed by a team tasked with implementing sophisticated construction and services contracts including ensuring compliance of processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Applying SCM expertise to develop recommendations that provide the basis for making critical business decisions.

Who you are:

  • University degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

  • A minimum of six (6) years of related experience in the SCM field; a combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Advanced computer skills (MS Office Suite including MS Power Point and MS Project).

  • Excellent influencing and engagement skills with ability to energize others at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders/customers without authority.

  • Solid understanding of leading supply chain techniques (including but not limited to total cost ownership principles, contract management and strategic sourcing models, supplier qualification methodology)

  • Strong business insight and keen desire to increase knowledge in business areas supported (Liquids, Gas, Renewables, etc.).

  • Demonstrated ability to develop wide and diverse networks.

  • High level of energy, drive, and resilience to successfully navigate and resolve areas of resistance.

  • Demonstrates integrity, ethical behavior, trust, safety, and stewardship while striving to bottom line goals and profitability.

Working Conditions:

  • Typical office environment, with occasional off-site visits.

  • Stress levels can be above normal as the work is highly visible and deadline oriented. Numerous, often competing interests must be managed concurrently.

  • Occasional travel (5-10%) may be required (e.g., field office locations, project sites, domestic and foreign contractor facilities) often requires Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Valid passport is required.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to: Typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
