Requirements: Bachelor of EducationDesired Qualifications/Skills: Knowledge of 10-2 Social Studies and 10-2 English Language Arts curriculumExperience teaching in a senior high school setting, with knowledge of foundational literacy skills.Cultural awareness with ability to support new-comers to the school.TESL/TESOL Certification would be an asset.Knowledge and familiarity with Assessment for Learning, Literacy and Differentiated Instruction practices.Effective organizational and classroom management skills are imperative.Ability to integrate and use technology in a regular and virtual classroom.Ability to create goals for Individual Program Plans as well as implement the plan for students.A strong ability to build relationships with high school students, staff and parents.Strong technology skills are required, with knowledge of Google Platform applications and PowerSchool an asset.Flexible TEAM player.Knowledge of the Collaborative Response Model is an asset.APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Resumes and other relevant documents will be accepted by clicking on the APPLY tab for the specific posting on the Job Connect and follow the application instructions.
