Frontier Mosakahiken School is a Nursery to Grade 12 school with approximately 470 students. The school is located in Moose Lake which is 100 km east of The Pas, Manitoba (a full service community) and is accessible by road. This lakeside community’s natural beauty provides for an abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education Degree
Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)
Previous Music teaching experience
Experience teaching guitar, keyboard, and other instruments
The ability to read and instruct with sheet music
Strong classroom management skills
Experience working in a northern community
Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life
Experience working with students with unique needs
A commitment to differentiated instruction
A willingness to inquire into best practices and reflect on practices
A team player committed to the belief that all students can learn
Self-motivated
