Cormorant Lake School is a Nursery to Grade 10 school with 106 students located in Cormorant, Manitoba, 80 kms northeast of The Pas. This lakeside town offers community services such as a nursing station, park, community hall and year-round road access. Services such as grocery shopping and banking are available in The Pas.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education Degree
Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)
A sound knowledge of Manitoba curricula
Previous teaching experience
A sound knowledge and experience with school-based technology
Knowledge of literacy, numeracy, and play-based programming
Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life
Strong classroom management skills
Experience working with students with unique needs
A commitment to differentiated instruction
A willingness to inquire into best practices and reflect on practices
A team player committed to the belief that all students can learn
Self-motivated
