SUBSTITUTE EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANTS

Substitute Educational Assistants work under the supervision of a certified teacher who retains the responsibility for planning, instruction, supervision and evaluation of the students. As a casual employee you will be assist students in
optimizing learning potential within a variety of educational settings. This
support may include behavior management, curriculum implementation, social
skills development, personal care and physical assistance.
Substitute Educational Assistants are paid $18.29 per hour plus vacation pay. When filling temporary contracts, we give first consideration to our Substitute Educational Assistants.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Educational Assistant Diploma with CPR/First Aid preferred
some experience working with children in an organized setting preferred
preference will be given to those with NVCI training
experience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviors is an asset
ability and willingness to perform required physical tasks, as well as assist with personal care
