We have the perfect opportunity for you! Join our team of over a hundred seasoned experts at CGI, working on ambitious projects for a prestigious client located in downtown Montreal.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

CGI is seeking a functional architect to participate in major projects. As a functional architect, you will be responsible for:

- Modeling the structure of solution functionalities using use case models and other modeling tools.
- Guiding analysts in drafting use cases and ensuring the connection with the solution architect.
- Ensuring the quality and accuracy of functional documents while aligning them with business requirements.
- Overseeing the functional decomposition of solutions and identifying common functions.
- Developing a high-level technical understanding of services, actively participating in their identification within a SOA/MSA approach.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- A bachelor’s degree in information technology (computer science, software engineering, or computer engineering).
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in information technology, including at least 6 years as a functional architecture consultant, utilizing a structured methodology focused on use cases and UML notation.
- 5 years of experience in the development of information systems, particularly in web technologies, .NET, object-oriented design, or service design.
- 3 years of experience in creating functional architecture documentation, including principles and rules.
- 2 years of experience as a functional architecture consultant on electronic service delivery (ESD) development projects.
- Practical experience of at least 1 year with modeling tools such as Visio and Visual Paradigm in production environments.
- Evidence of having served as a functional architecture consultant on 3 projects of 4,000 person-days, with a contribution of 200 person-days per project over the last 10 years.
- Reside in the province of Quebec.
- Comfortable communicating in French (orally).
- Authorized to work legally in Canada.

Assets:

- 1 year of experience as a functional architecture consultant for a project requiring mastery of service-oriented architecture (SOA) concepts.
- Experience of at least 12 months in a government or quasi-government organization.
