Job Description: As a member of the centralized intake team, the incumbent is an integral member of the multidisciplinary team in Mental Health & Addiction Services. The purpose of this position is to represent Mental Health & Addiction Services - Intake Unit to the public and to agencies by providing information, intake assessment, crisis response service, referral, consultation, research and education. Responsibilities include use of assessment tools, screening, crisis intervention, referral, short term case management, counselling, goal planning, consultation, preparation of reports, data collection and client, family and public education.

Education

  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

Licenses

  • Registered Social Worker (RSW)

Other Education and Training

  • Bachelor of Chemical Dependency is acceptable
  • Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable
  • Bachelor of Psychology is acceptable
