Job Description: The Community Dietitian is responsible for assessment of community need, coordination, planning, implementation and evaluation of population based nutritional programs directed towards health promotion and disease prevention. The Community Dietitian is also responsible for provision of consultative , counseling, teaching and education services to individuals and communities that will improve the nutritional status of the population. Practitioners in this service provide support to Primary Health Care Networks and work within interdisciplinary Primary Health Care team in client care provision.

Education
- Dietetic Internship certificate
- Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (BSc(Nutr))
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the field of community or public health nutrition or equivalent.
- Experience with chronic disease and/or dysphagia management is an asset.

Other Information
- This is a community based position providing services in clinic and home settings. Travel required to various community sites, including rural, within the Primary Health Care Networks (Regina). Home base for this position is: 2110 Hamilton Street.
- Must possess a valid Saskatchewan driver's license.
- Some assignments may require access to a vehicle for work.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Dietitians Association (SDA)
- Registered/eligible for registration with the Dietitians of Canada (DC)
