General Accountability:
The Confidential Executive Assistant provides a variety of independent senior level confidential work involving project and administrative support. Much of the work has the potential of being highly confidential in nature so considerable discretion is required. This position reports to a Vice-President but may provide administrative support to the CEO, a Director or others as required.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- A post secondary certificate in office administration and 5 - 7 years experience with administrative and project management functions are required.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Skills
- Ability to support senior level administrators and to work effectively and discreetly with confidential and sensitive information is essential.
- Proficient in the ability to use a variety of software applications to perform administrative tasks.
- Knowledge of office management and administrative procedures and protocols.
- Effective in communicating complex information both orally and in writing to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems by applying initiative, practicing due diligence and sound judgement when responding to requests and dealing with confidential information.
- Ability to positively influence, persuade or convince others in order to reach a mutually acceptable or workable solution/agreement.
- Ability to work independently and participate as a team member to meet the needs of the Agency and build positive relationships.
- Ability to manage workload, establish priorities and organize multiple tasks while taking into consideration changing circumstances, frequent interruptions, competing deadlines, available resources and in some instances multiple reporting relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Knowledge of culturally responsive care for First Nations and Métis people.
