Our client is a BC based independent insurance agencies with over 100 employees, operating also in Toronto and Montreal. With over 40 years of operation, they successfully acquired multiple insurance companies and now offering various services from Commercial, Auto, Marine, Home, Life and Employee benefits.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As an Account Manager of the personal line, you will be responsible handling VIP clients and high value homes. Account values as much as $2.5 mil and you will gain experience handling large PL accounts.

The client puts great value in the health and growth of employees, offering paid education, training courses, even outside of the insurance industry and mental health support.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting to the department manager of the personal line team, you will be responsible for

• Analyzing client coverages and exposures to provide expert advice.

• Proactively contacting insureds regarding renewal increases and remarket as necessary.

• Consistently providing a high level of customer service in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.

• Efficiently and accurately underwriting new and renewal business accordingly to company or program guidelines.

• Processing policy renewals, endorsements, and cancellations in accordance with established office procedures and best practices.

• Calculating premiums and rates; apply payments and/or refunds.

• Completing the binding, invoicing, premium collection, and file documentation of assigned accounts.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Level 2 General Insurance License

• 3 years or more experience in managing a Personal Lines & Auto team

• Experience handling VIP clients or high-net value homes for more than 2 years

• Technical skills in MS Office and Insurance Portals (TAM and EPIC)

COMPENSATION

• $65,000 to $75,000 per annum depending on experience + commissions on new business.
