We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as a Banking & Capital Markets Consulting Manager. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing strategic consulting and transformation services to our clients in the financial services industry, focusing specifically on Capital Markets.


What you will do

KPMG’s Banking & Capital Markets (BCM) Consulting Practice helps clients develop winning strategies to support strategic business objectives, leveraging innovative technology and leading-edge capabilities to both create and capture lasting value.

 

As a Manager in the Banking & Capital Markets Advisory practice at KPMG, you will play a critical role in leading client engagements, providing strategic insights, and delivering high-impact solutions. You will work with a diverse team of professionals to assist clients in navigating complex capital markets issues, enhancing their financial performance, and achieving their strategic objectives.

 

Client Engagement Management: Manage multiple client engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and build strong, long-term relationships

 

Strategic Advisory: Support senior leadership to provide advisory to clients on a range of Capital Markets issues including regulatory compliance, risk management, transaction services, and financial strategy

 

Project Leadership: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the firm’s quality standards

 

Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment. Provide constructive feedback and support professional growth

 

Market and Industry Analysis: Support client and KPMG stakeholders to conduct thorough research and analysis of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to inform client strategies and recommendations

 

Business Development: Participate and support new business opportunities pursuits by developing proposals, presenting to prospective clients, and contribute to the growth of the practice

 

Stakeholder Communication: Communicate complex financial concepts and strategies effectively to a variety of stakeholders – internal and client

 

Thought Leadership: Contribute to the firm’s thought leadership by writing thought papers and participating in professional networks

 


What you bring to the role

  • 5-8 years of hands-on management consulting experience from a Big 4 or boutique consulting firm focusing on Capital Markets
  • University degree in business, management, operations, an MBA, or an equivalent degree from an accredited university
  • Demonstrated experience in transformation topics impacting Financial Services such as (but not limited to: Front-to-back transformation (strategy and technology-driven), Operations process redesign, Capital markets technology architecture, Data & analytics strategies & technology implementations, Business driven Digital transformations in compliance & regulatory areas; Regulatory compliance in Capital Markets
  • Experience working in waterfall, scrum, agile, and other methodologies
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills including presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Project execution skills including leading day-to-day execution, team management on client engagements, managing project schedule, risks and timelines
  • Proven experience in working with large data sets, drawing insights from data, and possessing a data-driven mindset
