Overview

Join our P&C Actuarial team and gain exposure in multiple aspects of the profession, among others: reserving, pricing, data analytics, risk management and IFRS 17. Hone your skills with a team that cares about the well-being of each other as much as about the long-term relationship with clients.


What you will do

  • Manage and assist in the delivery of professional services related to audits and appointed actuary engagements along-side five senior actuaries.
  • Lead or assist in the implementation of process improvements, in the development of new analyses, and in the design of better presentations of results and reports for all types of engagement.
  • Have an impact on people by influencing team decisions, as well as coaching analysts and co-op students.
  • Learn about hot skills for actuaries in insurance through participating in IFRS 17 engagements, risk modelling engagements and predictive modelling projects.
  • Learn through supporting actuarial teams of large insurance companies

What you bring to the role

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, some fluency in French is an asset.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and actuarial fundamentals..
  • Deep understanding of insurance operations and competitive marketplace
  • 5+ years of P&C actuarial experience
  • ACAS/ACIA working on FCAS/FCIA designation
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Access, working knowledge of R, Python or SAS
