The Applied Sciences Group (ASG) is looking for a Senior Software Engineer that enjoys working as a generalist developer: our focus changes often, so you should be comfortable working on many different projects and different areas of the technology stack.

ASG is a unique group to Microsoft and even the industry. We have amazing latitude for impact and scope of creativity and opportunity. We invent but also ship. We are passionate about creating the future, inventing something that has not been done, but then turning around and giving into the hands of millions of people. It’s a mash up of Microsoft Research and an effective engineering team. All in the name of doing what’s right, unimagined, and next, with a balance not too close but not too far away either. As we help guide Windows and Devices towards an Agentic world, we want to contextualize people’s experiences. We want to move people’s compute experiences “off the desk” into the real world, and not only contextualize and ground in what they do with computers but also in the physical world. If you are passionate about our mission in ASG and want to work on a team that offers growth opportunities, dedicated to a culture of inclusion, growth mindset and collaboration, we need you!

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
