About Brucejack
Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

As an Underground Heavy Duty Mechanic at Brucejack Mine, you’ll be essential to the safe and efficient operation of underground mobile equipment. Your hands-on expertise will directly support production and safety by ensuring our fleet is maintained, repaired, and ready to perform in challenging underground conditions.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair underground mobile equipment such as drills, scoops, and haul trucks
- Use computerized and manual tools to identify faults and perform preventative maintenance
- Conduct repairs and adjustments underground in accordance with safety standards and site protocols
- Test equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance with manufacturer specifications
- Support site safety and reliability through daily service, part replacement, and equipment care
- Participate in site-specific training and collaborate effectively with peers and other departments
- Inter-provincial Red Seal Certification as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic
- Experience maintaining diesel and gasoline mobile/stationary equipment
- Underground mining experience is an asset
- Previous experience working with Sandvik, MacLean, Getman, JLG, or Diamond Drills
- Proficiency with SAP for maintenance and record keeping
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (or higher)
- WHMIS and TDG certifications (preferred)
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and perform well during 12-hour shifts
- Must pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol testing, and background check
- Location: Brucejack Mine (fly-in/fly-out access)
- Rotation: 13 days on / 13 days off, plus 2 travel days
- Conditions: Underground mine setting with exposure to confined spaces, noise, and varying weather
- Requirements: Use of full PPE; respirator fit-testing and clean-shaven condition for underground work

The expected salary range for this role is CA$64.32 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
