What can I expect to do in this role?In this position, you will be responsible for:

• maintaining court lists utilizing established scheduling practices
• collecting and compiling statistical reports
• attending court to set dates and monitor case flow
• providing administrative services

How do I qualify?Mandatory• You must possess oral and written French language skills at the advanced level. Your proficiency level will be confirmed before hire

Judgement and Problem Solving Skills:• You have demonstrated analytical skills to assess data and provide recommendations
• You have proven ability to use effective organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet competing deadlines

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:• You have the ability to use tact and diplomacy effectively when liaising with stakeholders, including staff, professionals and the public
• You have demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Technical Knowledge and Skills:• You possess knowledge of the functions and rules of the Superior or Ontario Court of Justice, relevant legislation and legal terminology
• You have experience with secretarial and office administrative practices
• You possess proficiency with computers and various software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation, e-mail, Internet and management information systems
