Home Instruction Assignment
Overview
We are presently seeking an OCT qualified teacher to fulfill the below Home Instruction Assignment:
Assignment: Student in grade 12 requiring home instruction in English (1L)
Area of town: Cairine Wilson boundaries
Hours per week: 5 hours
Duration: from Immediately to January 31, 2025, unless otherwise notified by the Employer
Instruction time: Home instruction assignment is conducted between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. during the week (Monday to Friday) to a maximum of 5 hours per week.
Home Instruction Teachers who are also part-time contract teachers must only accept assignments that are outside of their regular teaching or prep periods.

OCT Qualifications required: English AND Special Education Part 1 (or higher) Qualifications
OCT Additional Qualification(s) considered an asset (if applicable): N/A

Selection Process
Applications will be assessed according to the requirements and OCT qualifications outlined in this job posting, and in accordance with Policy P.146.HR Equitable Recruitment, Hiring and Promotion.
In accordance with the Home Instruction Protocol, priority will be given to those in the Secondary Teachers Bargaining unit, i.e. Home Instruction Teachers, Secondary Part Time Contract Teachers and Secondary Continuing Education Credit Teachers.
A minimum of 3 qualified applicants, who have the required OCT qualifications, and who best meet the criteria outlined in the job posting will be offered an interview. If fewer than three (3) qualified applicants apply, all applicants will be interviewed.
