Parsons continues growing in Eastern Canada and we are looking for talented civil, bridge, and transportation engineers and technicians to join our core infrastructure team in the Greater Toronto Region and help us drive this growth. Come work with us to build our core team and set our success forward in the GTA. Our group has an opportunity for a BRIDGE EIT to join our mobility solution team servicing our projects and clients in the GTA. In this role you will participate in creating innovative, practical solutions to various bridge projects and structures in Ontario and across Canada.

We are specialists in bridge design and analysis, rehabilitation, and construction of efficient, elegant structures sustainably integrated into their environment. You’ll work on designing and managing projects with a strong work ethic. You’ll need a collaborative mindset and strong communication skills. Other broad skills that will be required to execute a variety of tasks include proposal preparation, engineering design, drawing review, and coordination with various project team members, sub-consultants, clients, and contractors. You’ll have the opportunity for professional progression as an instrumental member in the growth of our team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as structural designer for bridge design and rehabilitation projects.
  • Participate in the preparation of deliverables (design calculations, feasibility and preliminary-design studies, structural analysis, plans, specifications, proposals, estimates and work schedules, review of contractor submissions, etc.).
  • Work closely with engineers and technicians to provide coordinated designs.
  • Ensure that deliverables are in conformance to technical guides, company’s standards as well as applicable codes.
  • Performing inspections of existing bridges and other structures under construction.
  • Willingness to travel or relocate to supplier, client, or construction site locations, is expected subject to project needs.
  • Perform other engineering activities associated with this position, as needed.
