Job Description:

Parsons is seeking dedicated Mechanical Revit Designers to lead infrastructure project design work. The Mechanical Revit Designer is broadly responsible for developing the 3D Models and 2D drawings while leading model design reviews and milestone reviews. Mechanical Revit Designers are responsible for progressively elaborating 3D models and 2D drawings to develop mechanical designs that are technically coherent and compliant for our clients. In addition, the designer provides regular support to the various discipline engineers and the construction team when required. This role would be based out of our Oakville, Ontario office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a strong personal commitment to Quality and Safety in design.
  • Designs proficiently in 3D and 2D design environments.
  • Works and communicates positively within a multidisciplinary team of design leads.
  • Ensures mechanical design activities align with the overall project mission and user requirements
  • Ensures successful delivery of major milestone reviews for all assigned design packages

Qualifications And Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the 3D/2D mechanical design development of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection project scope
  • Minimum of 4 years experience with REVIT design modeling software (Mechanical)
  • Experience working and coordinating within a multi-discipline design project
  • Experience in mentoring young professionals
  • Knowledge of project delivery, including the activities, interfaces, and interdependence of all project disciplines.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to engage and coordinate the design with client representatives
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong deliverable focus with a proven ability to attain quality and schedule objectives while maintaining budgets.
  • Experience with greenfield and brownfield interfaces, including constructability experience
  • Delivers 3D models, drawings, and clash detection reports

  • Performs checks of 3D models and drawings developed by others
  • Responsible for managing budgets, schedule and deliverables related to the design
  • Works with construction to align deliverables with contractual requirements
  • Provide regular feedback to the mechanical project lead on progress with preparation of deliverables
