What are our expectations
We are looking for a dynamic, passionate and curious individual who will be responsible for a team of professionals working on process planning (methods) and technical support to assembly and test (ATTS) for the Mississauga engine center. The candidate will work within the management team of the Mississauga Engine Center. He/She will support and coordinate the management of on-time deliveries of engine, recommend technical improvements to engines, assembly and testing methods. The incumbent will manage tasks and projects schedules. Adaptable, the candidate will work in a dynamic and high performance environment.
What your day to day will look like.
- Lead Production Technical Support (PTS) team priorities to support daily engine delivery schedules.
- Provide technical insight and expertise to all stakeholders (i.e. Other Engine Centers, Quality, Logistics, Production, Engineering, OPM, Marketing, etc.).
- Manage configuration control of production work instructions AFS (Assembly Floor Sheet).
- Establish and focus on a medium-long term vision for the PTS team to improve the operations overall results (i.e. quality, cost, efficiency) by leveraging CORE tools.
- Lead efficient Technical Quality Clinic by using measurable KPI’s. Establish actions plans and help drive initiatives and projects to achieve KPI set goals.
- Drive and nurture a quality culture in our people. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to exceed customer’s expectations and meet company goals.
- Lead new technology implementation within the Engine Center (i.e. test automation, Torque management system TMS, induction heating, …)
- Drive Engineering task (Design job) for Engine Center and Standard Shop Hour (SSH) reduction project as cost reduction initiatives.
- Lead Governance between different groups to ensure standardization, alignment, and production readiness for new engine centerlines (NPI)
- Lead PTS team to collaborate with multiple departments within the network
- Manage healthy skill sets within the PTS team
- Ensure staff understands daily expectations and work routines.
- Oversee employee development and ensure workforce flexibility and continuity.
What you need to succeed
- Bachelor degree or Technical diploma with 5+ years of relevant project management / operations / engineering / manufacturing process management experience.
- Engaging and influential leadership.
- Technical knowledge of various manufacturing and assembly process in aeronautics.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to coach teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple mandates and projects.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with all levels of management.
- Decision-making and relational skills.
- Ability to influence and act as change agent.
- Ability to analyse data, synthesize, see the big picture and improve processes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to withstand high pressure and prioritize multiple requests in an ultra dynamic environment
