DescriptionThis role, reporting directly to the Manager - Procurement Excellence. In this role, the Business Application Support specialist will be responsible for helping to drive the technical support and training for business application (Ariba/S4 Hana), which will include transformation of 1) systems implementation and process automation, 2) system data analytics and security compliance reporting, 3) internal and external application and process governance, 4) Technical support and training. In addition, this position will play a key role in technical support for supplier enablement, supplier performance projects, and compliance projects in Ariba.
Responsibilities
- Support and administer the SAP Ariba system and all business needs relating to procurement systems, determine system capacity, test, and configure the system. Analyze its logic and resolve functional problems in timely manner.
- Identify improvement opportunities, and develop, implement and service the Ariba system to ensure it aligns with business objectives.
- Review quarterly Ariba improvements and implement functionality that improves the user experience.
- Monitor technical issues, manage priority status, and actively work to resolve them.
- Coordinate all system modifications along with the IT team to ensure data integrity.
- Support the integration of regional and global sites into SAP Ariba, and closely track the integration with the SAP S/4 Hana system.
- Develop and maintain user training tools for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in administration, information systems management or business intelligence, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years’ practical experience as an information system administrator
- Experience with SAP Ariba or other procurement solution; knowledge of SAP is an asset
- Solid understanding of procurement processes
- Strong drive to learn and maintain efficient operational processes
- Solid critical thinking skills and curiosity around technology solutions
- Experience managing projects, change, and client relationships in a highly dynamic environment using tools like MS Project, JIRA or Service Now
- Ability to set priorities and carry out tasks in a fast-moving environment
- Strong data analysis and processing skills, proficiency with Office productivity tools (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word), as well as the MS SharePoint
- Ability to engage the business and build consensus through the development of cross functional relationships and the employment of sound judgement and common sense.
- Self-starter with good teamwork skills
