What is the opportunity?

The incumbent is responsible for daily operation, operating model and project delivery of Corporate Actions processing and proxy voting department. Overseeing a proficient team in executing strategic projects within RBC IS client operations. The primary focus lies in ensuring optimization of day-to-day Corporate Action processing, improving client satisfaction, and fostering a low-risk operational framework. Key responsibilities include driving initiatives geared towards streamlining, standardizing, and effectively implementing operational changes, encompassing operations and system enhancements.

Additionally, the role entails envisioning and orchestrating future-oriented strategies and planning endeavors, aimed at optimizing operations, adopting industry-leading practices, and perpetuating a culture of continuous enhancement. The cultivation of a culture of coaching, career development, and performance management. Proficiency in navigating and adhering to the global regulatory landscape governing entitlements and corporate actions is imperative. Close collaboration with internal enterprise stakeholders and industry authorities is paramount to accurately representing and supporting business needs.

What will you do?

  • Oversee modernization of operational processes impacting Entitlements Operations, Proxy voting and associated systems and technology.
  • Sponsor, drive, coordinate, and prioritize initiatives, transformation and change. Lead future facing strategy planning.
  • Develop and engage employees, performance management, setting ambitious goals with clear outcomes.
  • Continuous improvement processes, client and employee experience creating simplified, scalable, risk averse processes that meet regulatory requirements.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • 7+ years financial industry experience specifically in asset servicing and Entitlements
  • Ability to set strategic direction, and drive execution towards achieving organizational goals
  • Proficiency in implementing and optimizing Entitlements and Corporate Actions processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy and compliance
  • Understanding of financial principles, including risk management, cost optimization, and budgeting
  • Knowledge of global regulatory requirements governing corporate actions operations, and the ability to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Familiarity and experience with end to end Corporate Action and proxy voting process flow
  • Capability to develop and execute long-term strategies for Corporate Actions operations, aligning with organizational objectives and market trends
