WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBCs Technology and Operations division. GFTs impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. As Production Support Lead, you will coordinate and manage production support activities for all major systems and related subsystems to ensure the integrity of computer-generated data. Will apply experience and seasoned knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of assignments.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks. Analyze, mitigate and escalate where appropriate.
Supervising daily activities for production control and computer personnel to ensure timely and effective reporting, tracking, follow-up, and communication of problems with the user community.
Overseeing and coordinating technical support for end-user training, production testing and equipment modifications.
Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners. Collaborate with groups to define and achieve deliverables and ensure initiatives are effectively integrated into RBC procedures and processes.
Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all information entered into production scheduling and problem management systems.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
10+ years of experience in production support role, supporting Cloud, mainframe, vendor related applications and database applications.
Expertise on JCL, SFTP, FTP files transfer setup from vendors files and SSL certificates and Stonebranch Schedulers
Strong knowledge in monitoring tools Dynatrace, Grafana, Elastic search, pager duty
Expertise in ServiceNow processes, including change management, incident management and problem management
Strong knowledge of Dataiku, OCP, PCF, Azure, AWS/ s3 bucket, SSIS, Maria DB, Postgress, Windows servers (IIS), WAS servers and Linux servers tasks
Nice-to-have:
Ideal candidate would possess some business knowledge in the CRE, BMCC, Procurement domain arena. In this position, it is often essential to be able to express technical issues in business terms, and vice-versa.
Exposure to project management practices, soft skills.
Experience on documenting processes proficiently and continuously monitoring the application performance
Experience of on call afterhours support and deployment
