SAP Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) Delivery is a private cloud managed services provider who offers SAP applications in the HANA Enterprise Cloud. Our team "ECS Delivery Technical Operations" is responsible for 24x7 operations of these business-critical SAP systems in the cloud. We are looking for an experienced Linux & Cloud administrator to support our multi-national team in providing L3/L4 expert support for all Linux OS and infra customer issues as well as building automation and improvement of our platform operations to provide world-class cloud services for SAP Applications to enterprise customer from all over the globe. In this role, you are responsible for conceptual design, configuration and administration of our cloud platform based on Linux operating systems in Azure, AWS and Google Cloud as well as in SAP data centers. You will support our team in standardizing and simplifying server operations using software tools and automation. Innovation and improvement of our operational processes will be a key element of the job. Besides providing new features into the platform, your focus will be also on stability and reliability of the environment to run business-critical systems of our customers.
What you'll do
The Senior Linux & Cloud Administrator is responsible for 24x7 availability of SAP systems running in SAP ECS; Respond, troubleshoot and resolve alerts & incidents in the Linux OS or infra layer - VMWare/ Azure/ AWS/ GCP/ BareMetal; Being a L3/L4 escalation point for productive issues; Follow change management processes during service request execution; Seek opportunities to streamline standard operating procedures through automation; Must feel comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic and flexible environment; Operate effectively in a global 24x7 International environment.
What you bring
• 10+ years of related professional experience
• Advanced technical background of Linux based server operating systems
• Practical experience with OS operation, upgrades and security patching
• Demonstrates advanced expertise in Cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP
• Advanced knowledge in Hyperscalers network topics, including VPN, VPC, NAT gateways, and Security groups.
• Proficient in handling infrastructure topics like DNS, LDAP, NTP etc.
• Good understanding of IT security, OS hardening.
• Experience in Scripting (e.g., Shell, Python, Go, etc), Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Ansible.
• Ability to create good documentation for junior colleagues to implement technical plans as per customer requirements.
• Experience with server operations in large environments and in public clouds - Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Fluency in English language

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 88,700 - 185,400 CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount, and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance. Due to the nature of the role, which involves global interactions with SAP entities, as well as with employees and stakeholders in Canada, functional proficiency in English is required for positions based in the Quebec.
