Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre requires a temporary full- time (1.0 FTE) English Language Arts Grade 10, 11 and 12 Teacher to be assigned at one of our regional campus locations across the province based on the principal residence of the successful candidates. This position is not remote or virtual work from home. The start date is as soon as possible based on the availability of the successful candidate and concludes January 30, 2025 with the possibility of being extended based on term two enrolment.

Sask DLC is a newly formed Treasury Board Crown Corporation in Saskatchewan, created to deliver high-quality and equitable online learning programs to students across the province. Sask DLC’s head office is located in Kenaston, with an administrative office in Regina, and nine regional campuses located in Swift Current, Moose Jaw, Estevan, Yorkton, Saskatoon, Nipawin, Prince Albert, Neilburg and La Ronge. Sask DLC delivers online programming to full-time K-12 students and part-time students attending schools across the province.

The teaching assignment will include Grade 10, 11, and 12 English Language Arts Core Curriculum - Writing, Reading, Speaking, Listening, Representing, and Viewing. English Language Arts 20 Outcomes include Comprehend and Respond, Compose and Create, and Assess and Reflect.

Experience in secondary English Language Arts curriculum, online teaching or online program supervision, and level 30 (grade 12) accreditation would be considered an asset.

As an online instructor, you will work with students in an online environment and will in most cases, be the primary point of contact for our learners. We are looking to recruit teachers who seek to understand the challenges of online learning and strive to create real connections with our learners, bridging the distance between them.

Experience with technologies such as Clevr, Moodle, MySchoolSask, and online communication software would be considered an asset.
