Sask DLC requires a temporary full- time (1.0 FTE) high school teacher. This Grade 12 History and English 30 Asynchronous position will be assigned at one of our regional campus locations across the province based on the principal residence of the successful candidate. These positions are not remote or virtual work from home. The start date will be determined by the availability of the successful candidate and concludes June 30, 2025.

This teaching assignment may include Grade 12 History and English Saskatchewan Core Curriculum with subject or content areas based on curriculum indicators.

Experience in elementary education, online teaching or online program supervision would be considered an asset. Accreditation at Level 30 English would be a significant criteria.

Sask DLC delivers online learning programs to students across the province. Sask DLC’s head office is located in Kenaston, with an administrative office in Regina, and nine regional campuses located in Swift Current, Moose Jaw, Estevan, Yorkton, Saskatoon, Nipawin, Prince Albert, Neilburg and La Ronge.

As an online instructor, you will work with students in an online environment and will in most cases, be the primary point of contact for our students. We are looking to recruit teachers who seek to understand the challenges of online learning and strive to create real connections with our learners, bridging the distance between them.

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate: • student-centred decision-making; • innovation and creativity to support students achieving learning outcomes in a variety of approaches that fit student needs and interests; • ability to communicate effectively with parents on student educational needs and progress; strong time management and organizational abilities; • flexibility with the capacity to problem solve; • strengths in collegiality and collaboration; • ability to communicate clear and effective feedback on student progress; • collaboration with colleagues on course development; • knowledge of curriculum outcomes and indicators; • current instruction and assessment practices; and, • commitment to work collaboratively with all staff to carry out the mission and vision of Sask DLC.

Experience with technologies such as Clevr, Moodle, MySchoolSask, and online communication software would be considered an asset.
