Int. Cloud Solution Architect to create cloud migration strategies and define delivery architecture for our public sector client - RQ00118

Location: Toronto (Hybrid 2x per week on-site)

Duration: 6 month contract (possibility of extension)

Hours: 7.25 per day

Responsibilities

• Plan any necessary changes for cloud migration or cloud use
• Assist with creating cloud migration strategies, defining delivery architecture, creating the migration plans, designing the orchestration plans, etc. Experience with infrastructure.
• Provide support to ensure that the appropriate level of change management is measured and evaluated

General Skills:

• Experience developing the plan that will guide the organization in the various stages of using or migrating to cloud services
• Experience creating high quality, client facing assets targeting Cloud solutions and present them to key stakeholders.
• Experience developing & designing roadmaps, implement strategies & transformation plans for clients to migrate to cloud.
• Experience scrutinizing existing client environments & recommend solutions that enable a to-be cloud vision A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
• Experience assisting with sound practices in cloud brokerage and technical application management
• Conducting financial and ROI analysis of infrastructure, operations, and management costs
• Working with stakeholders to embed an agile, cloud-native process in all cloud acquisitions to enable the agency to quickly and effectively harness the power of cloud computing
• Contributing to further building the Cloud Advisory Services practice in terms of people, process and technology improvements
• Actively participating in business development and internal improvement activities
• Experienced with cloud architecture, infrastructure ,cloud networking/integration
• DevOps knowledge and automation skills
• Security and best practices compliance know how
• Vendor and stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• Project management skills Knowledge and experience with various cloud technology/providers

Must have skills:

• 5+ years experience with Cloud infrastructure skillset (bonus: ZScaler or CyberSecurity infrastructure)
• 5+ years experience supporting crafting of cloud strategies using IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS with the ability to analyze and synthesize analysis of alternatives. Reviewing vendor cloud contracts, support model and service-level agreements
• 5+ years experience working as a Cloud SME in the implementation of large, medium, and small cloud projects
• 5+ years experience providing hands-on support of mission areas in the rationalization and cloud readiness assessment of existing applications
