Senior Application Architect to assist in the validation and quality control of enterprise applications migrating to the cloud.

Our valued Public Sector client is in need of a Senior Application Architect to assist in the validation and quality control of enterprise applications migrating to the cloud.

Responsibilities:

• Assessment of existing legacy applications, identifying and assessing options (based on the 6Rs - rehost, replatform, refactor, replace/repurchase, retire, retain) for the eventual deployment of workloads towards cloud, end-state data centres or using a hybrid combination;
• Review of current state legacy application architectures and determining the future state solution;
• Develop Conceptual, Logical and Physical implementation ready technical Application architectures, frameworks, and strategies to meet the business and application requirements including making applicable recommendations for Cloud Computing (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and the reuse of emergent technologies to meet the Business Functional and Technical requirements;

Must Haves:

• Experience working with AWS or Azure
• Experience reviewing and making recommendations on current and future application architecture
• Experience migration applications and databases from on-prem to cloud

Nice to haves:

• Experience working on a large GoC application modernization or workload migration project
