Our Calgary client is looking for a Senior Azure Systems Administrator with Infrastructure Engineering experience to manage and support an Azure Platform.

Resources must be available to be onsite 5 days week. Initial 6 month contract to start, high probability of extention.

Must Haves:

• 10+ years experience as an Azure Systems Administrator
• 5+ years' experience is as an Azure Infrastructure Engineer
• Azure Platform Management (Azure compute, storage, and networking services) experience
• Azure DevOps (YAML pipelines, self-hosted agents, and service connections) experience
• Azure Security Entra ID and Roles management, Active Directory, IAM, and Azure Key Vault) experience
• Azure Monitoring & Automation (Azure Monitoring, alerting, health services, backup/restores, and automation tools) experience
• Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, SQL servers, managed databases, and minimal Synapse knowledge) experience
• Application and Cost Management (Azure App Services, Azure Enterprise Applications, and Cost Management) experience

Nice to Haves:

• Linux Administration experience
• API Development (RESTful API development in Azure) experience
• Windows IIS and Visual Studio experience
• Networking (Azure Private EndPoints, routing tables, and bastion hosts) experience

Responsibilities:

• Managing and supporting Azure compute, storage, and networking services.
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure DevOps pipelines, including YAML pipelines, self-hosted agents, and service connections.
• Managing Azure security and identity (Entra ID, Active Directory, IAM, and Azure Key Vault).
• Setting up and configuring Azure Monitoring, alerting, health services, backup/restores, and automation tools.
• Managing Azure Data Services, including Azure Data Factory, SQL servers, and managed databases.
• Administering applications and cost management on the Azure platform, such as Azure App Services and Azure Enterprise Applications.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, efficient, and cost-effective Azure infrastructure management.
