Our client is seeking a Senior BI Developer (10+years) specializing in Cognos 11 administration to serve as first line support for reports and Cognos in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities:

• Serves as a first line of support for technical issues relating to reports or Cognos itself.
• Monitors and maintains application security.
• Enhances, and performance tunes reports, application servers.
• Provides support to reporting communities / power users.
• Works with business partners to plan new or enhance existing BI infrastructure.
• Plan Upgrades and enhancements BI environments with the assistance of product architect.
• Good knowledge on Cognos Architecture and experience in installing it in windows & Linux environment.
• Experience with 11.x.
• Must have SQL experience in building and analyzing queries in Oracle databases.
• Experience working with vendor customer support on issue resolution.
• Strong understanding of relational and star-schema database designs is preferred.
• Good understanding of ODS/EDW and Content Deployments in BI tools.
• Experience in scripting on both Linux & windows.
• Good knowledge and experience using different Web Servers including AWS.
• Must possess a proven track record on business intelligence project delivery and demonstrate exceptional business acumen, strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Must Have:

• 10+ years BI experience
• Expert in IBM Cognos 11 administration including Cognos Reporting, Cubes, and Framework Manager
• Amazon AWS Quicksight, (Data Pipeline, DMS, or SPICE)
• SQL
• Oracle databases
• Available to work after hours and/or weekends, on-call.

• MS Power Apps
• MS Power Automate
• Sharepoint
• Knowledge of third party administration product called BSP meta manager
