Description
Our valued client is in need of a Senior Business Architect to design, implement, and optimize the Business Support Systems (BSS) for greenfield implementations.
The Business Architect will have deep expertise in telecom architecture, BSS applications, and a strong understanding of the evolving digital landscape. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that BSS solutions are aligned with the company’s strategic goals, providing seamless integration, scalability, and high performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect BSS solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements, industry standards, and best practices in telecom.
- Provide guidance on BSS systems integrations with other telecom platforms, such as OSS, CRM, billing, provisioning, and analytics.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement technology improvements to optimize BSS architecture for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders (marketing, sales, customer service) and technical teams (developers, infrastructure, security) to deliver integrated solutions that meet business needs.
- Oversee the delivery of BSS projects, from requirements gathering through implementation and post-deployment support.
- Contribute to long-term BSS strategy, identifying trends, emerging technologies (e.g., cloud, AI, 5G), and opportunities for innovation.
- Maintain detailed architectural documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Provide technical leadership and training to internal teams, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
Must Haves:
- Extensive experience in telecom architecture, with a focus on Business Support Systems (BSS).
- Experience with BSS vendors (e.g., Netcracker, Amdocs or similar) and open-source BSS solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of BSS components including Billing, CRM, Order Management, Revenue Assurance, and Mediation.
- Proficiency in systems integration, data modeling, API management, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, Google Cloud) and SaaS-based BSS solutions.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience in handling large-scale telecom BSS transformation projects.
Nice to Have:
- Certification in TOGAF, ITIL, or similar frameworks is an asset
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field experience.
