Description
The opportunity
The Group Disability Department manages over 20,000 Long Term Disability (LTD) claims that have been deemed totally disabled (TD) to age 65 (max end date). These claims do not require active claims management like the LTD active block that are managed by Case Managers. The TD65 block, on the other hand, is administratively handled by Senior Disability Administrators (SDA) since total disability has been met and return to work is not a viable option in most cases. The focus in TD65 becomes ensuring offsets are in place and periodic follow-ups with claimants to ensure there is no change in physical or cognitive function.
Responsibilities:
Telephoning claimants to conduct interviews based on pre-determined set of questions
Referring the claim to the Case Manager if there are concerns following the telephone interview
Forwarding letters and forms to the claimant for completion
