Job Description

The Opportunity

The Manulife Wealth Insurance Services Inc. (MWISI) Bilingual Advisor Onboarding & Transition Specialist is a critical and multi-functional role within Advisory Services’ business development organization.

Responsibilities

  • Advisor and Licensed Assistant Due Diligence and Insurance Contracting

  • Work closely with the field team and act as key Head Office relationship support

  • Package and send the due diligence documents/MWISI screening to our recruits upon request

  • Conduct and analyze credit/criminal checks and regulatory checks and involve compliance when necessary to ensure recruits meet our requirements

  • For insurance recruits, conduct insurance council reviews, ensure appropriate licensing and E&O coverage is in place

  • Work with compliance in acquiring approvals for any outside business activities, trade names and know your advisor conversations

  • Present recruits to the Due Diligence committee for approvals on a weekly basis

  • Work with Legal department to draft binding agreement for sign off from senior management and recruit

  • Track all activities in Salesforce ensuring accuracy

Advisor Transition Support

  • Act as support for our new advisors transitioning their books of business to Manulife Wealth and Manulife Wealth Insurance Services Inc.

  • Initiate paperwork outside of MWISI, by receiving MGA

  • Responsible for handling stationery and signage needs for advisors in dedicated territory

  • Prepare Transfer forms/ invoice for transfer-outs

  • Lead new advisors using the Integration Support Program as a guideline

  • Track activities created by proactive conversations with new advisors in Salesforce

  • Handle advisor relocations, and lead departures

Key Operational Functions

  • Maintain current E&O and licensing for MWISI only advisors

  • Notify and communicate with 3rd party carriers to ensure we meet our regulatory obligations

  • Ordering 3rd party selling codes

  • Crafting and maintaining WealthServ advisor profiles

  • Act as the key relationship person between MWISI and our carriers

  • Handle WealthServ feed errors, correct where require

This role supports our new advisors and providing key transition support for Manulife's existing advisors.

What we are looking for

  • Bilingual (French/English)

  • 3-5 years' experience within the Insurance industry

  • Friendly, flexible, and able to deal with a lot of different personalities with outstanding communication skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Background in financial services, advisor services, compliance, or registration, etc. is preferred

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

CAN, Quebec, Montreal, 900 Boulevard de Maisonneuve Ouest

Salary range is expected to be between

$50,250.00 CAD - $83,750.00 CAD
