About the NORC Innovation Centre

The NORC Innovation Centre is a first-of-its-kind initiative at UHN advancing new models of social connection and accessible care for aging adults living in naturally occurring retirement communities (NORCs). Our mission is to develop community-led solutions that provide options for aging in place with dignity and choice. This work is led by a multidisciplinary team at UHN OpenLab and Connected Care, drawing on a range of design, clinical, and innovation expertise.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a thoughtful and curious User Experience Designer to support the design and rollout of digital platforms that enhance the way NORC teams collaborate, gather data, and connect residents with health and social care services.

In this entry-to-mid level role, you'll be central to designing, testing, and improving tools like the NORC Team Portal-a digital backbone for integrated care. You'll also support broader design activities, such as journey mapping and service prototyping alongside older adults, front-line staff, and community partners.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team working on complex, meaningful challenges. If you're excited by human-centered design, passionate about inclusive digital experiences, and want to help build systems that reflect the realities of aging in community, we'd love to meet you.
