APSSP - Temporary Speech and Language Pathologist (0.5 FTE)

The Waterloo Catholic District School Board serves over 30,000 learners and provides services to students in 50 schools (Kindergarten to Grade 12 and adult learners) across the Waterloo Region.

The Board conducts intentional recruitment and selection as it seeks to achieve a state of greater equity for employees and students and to diversify its workforce.

M inimum Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent degree and registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech and Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated abilities to work collaboratively as an integral member of a team

Consultation experience with a number of professionals, parents and community agencies

Familiarity with a wide range of communication and special education programs and services

Demonstrated staff development and leadership skills

Valid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle

Salary Range: APSSP Category 2, $68,439. - $102,604 per year based on 194 school days per year and evaluation of years of experience in accordance with the provisions of the APSSP Collective Agreement. Salary will be prorated based on full-time equivlency.

Hours of Work : Temporary part-time, 17.5 hours per week (December 2, 2024 - June 27, 2025)

Location(s): Catholic Education Centre; 35 Weber St. Kitchener (currently staff are working a combination of Catholic Education Centre and schools)
