In addition, for major events, such as our 25thAnniversary Day in September 2011, multiple bands form themselves to provide live entertainment. Our president, Germain Lamonde, speaks to all our worldwide employees during the quarterly meetings, sharing with everyone the latest financial results and unveiling upcoming activities. One of EXFO’s core values is social and environmental responsibility. This is why our dynamic Green Committee periodically proposes awareness activities to all EXFO employees, such as Bicycle Day, where employees are invited to bike their way to work. EXFO also makes it a point to support social causes throughout the year, by organizing various activities that benefit the region’s population: United Way partner for approximately 10 years; Toy gathering for the region’s underprivileged children; Blood donor clinic held by Héma-Québec at our offices. Also, in June 2011 and 2012, we participated to the Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie (Pierre Lavoie Challenge), which aims at collecting funds to fight lactose acidosis, an orphan disease currently affecting people from the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region.
