Under the supervision of the Director, Marketing and Pricing, the incumbent works closely with the Marketing department and the various units of the Montreal Port Authority, both in terms of its marketing strategies and promotion, as well as support for the sales teams. He ensures the creation, development, and optimization of marketing strategies and materials in line with the needs of the sales teams and business partners. In this capacity, he recommends and achieves the objectives and positioning of the marketing team in order to promote the Montreal Port Authority to the industry.

Marketing strategy and support for business development

  • Provide support to our external consultants in the development of marketing campaigns and commercial initiatives
  • Create and support various marketing tools and other support materials for the sales teams
  • Work closely with partners and other stakeholders involved in business development
  • Collaborate and represent the marketing and pricing team through various communication and promotional initiatives and with various partners.
  • Take charge of marketing campaigns and its various promotional marketing technology tools
  • Lead the use and optimization of marketing communication tools. Specifically the Customer Insights (Journeys) application and the Dynamics 365 CRM.

Port reach and strategic positioning

  • Develop key messages, based on market intelligence and data provided by the intelligence team with the objective of increasing the team's reach and commercial performance.
  • Media monitoring to determine the best participation and promotion strategy through the various specialized media of the market and other digital platforms.
  • Develop and implement solutions, positioning and strategies in order to achieve commercial growth objectives.
  • Lead the strategy and efforts to create all marketing content that will represent the achievements and growth efforts of the sales team.
  • Actively collaborate in the creation and management of publications and content on social media (LinkedIn In) and other promotional platforms.

Create various communication tools for business partners

  • Write notes and summaries in preparation for meetings on various topics
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations to support the sales teams in their representation efforts
  • Work closely with the business development, communications, and business intelligence teams as part of various business development initiatives
  • Manage, coordinate, and communicate satisfaction surveys (CSAT, NPS) with port stakeholders.

Event support and customer reception

  • Support and participation in the organization of customer events such as customer appreciation receptions
  • Participation in the creation of event themes
  • Management of communications and actions related to events that arise from the Customer Insights (Journeys) application and Dynamics 365 CRM

Ensure the production of various types of content for the Vice-Presidency of Development, Marketing and International Relations team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration with a specialization in marketing or any other training deemed relevant;
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience;
  • High level of proficiency in Office 365 and its applications
  • Knowledge of the Dynamics 365 tool and Customer Insights, Journeys (marketing module) will be considered a great asset
  • Interest in B2B marketing, particularly in the fields of transportation, supply chains and global economic development
  • Experience in supporting and collaborating with external marketing and advertising firms
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, in French and English.
  • Strong writing and content production skills of various types.
  • Good teamwork skills, great flexibility, professional integrity and willingness to take initiatives.
  • Sound judgment regarding issues and people.
  • Above average skills: tact, diplomacy, persuasiveness and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to represent the organization to various bodies, during meetings and events organized outside.
  • High speed in work, both for tasks requiring detail and precision and for those of a more strategic level;
  • Spoken and written bilingualism: French and English.
