THE ROLE:

The Client and Graphics Engineering Validation Team is looking for a dynamic and energetic technical program manager to join our Graphics Memory validation team. The Graphics Memory System program manager will work closely across engineering and management disciplines to deliver pre- and post-silicon validation and characterization Graphics Memory solutions on AMD’s discrete GPU products. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strong understanding of the silicon development processes, a solid background in project management techniques, and excellent communication skills.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively leading graphics memory project planning, developing and maintaining schedules, managing dependencies, and ensuring quality of deliverables at committed milestones.
  • Develops regular status representing the graphics memory team in program meetings providing status to program and senior management.
  • Identify project risks and define mitigation strategies to address.
  • Work with major DRAM memory vendors in memory device qualification including planning, memory roadmaps, validation, & issue resolution.
  • Develop and lead graphics memory process improvement initiatives including technical test plan development, quality, and efficiency improvements.

 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Technical program management experience on highly complex projects involving ASICs, PCBs and Subsystems. Experience in graphics memory domain considered plus.
  • Proficient in productivity tools including: Confluence, Jira, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Project, OneNote, and Excel.
  • Must possess strong leadership skills and be a team player.
  • Experience implementing and refining new processes.
  • Able to work efficiently in a dynamic environment and on multiple projects.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of engineering disciplines and management.  

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience preferred
