Reporting to the Financial Operations Manager, the analyst will be primarily responsible for processes and controls related to collateral management for all agreements, as well as the day-to-day handling of listed derivatives products, while also supporting analysts on various mandates. The ideal candidate will have developed strong prioritization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure. TCC offers a complex financial environment in which the candidate will be able to develop an in-depth understanding of the operational processes tied to the trade lifecycle.

The position is based in downtown Montreal. A four-day per-week work attendance policy is currently in place.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Execute daily collateral calls with various counterparties.
- Process and communicate transactions to the trustee within the prescribed timelines.
- Perform internal reconciliations as well as reconciliations with clearing brokers and custodian.
- Confirm derivative transactions with counterparties or via platforms like MarkitWire and DTCC.
- Record derivative transactions in the accounting system (Eagle Star).
- Perform end-of-day entries and reconciliations to ensure transaction integrity in systems.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies with support from senior team members.
- Propose and participate in the implementation of process improvements.
- Support the traders by answering their requests accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or accounting;
- Experience in financial operations is an asset;
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledge of programming language such as VBA, SQL, Python, an asset
- Bilingual (spoken/written) French and English, essential
- Knowledge of various financial systems: Eagle Star, Bloomberg AIM, an asset
- Genuine interest in both complex and simple financial products
- Strong knowledge of listed financial product and borrow lending activities, an asset
