Air Canada (AC) and affiliates are embarking on an exciting Finance Transformation journey. This includes selection & implementation of new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions at its core. Air Canada is looking for individuals who can build our future finance systems to achieve automation, leverage data to increase performance insights, enabling the next generation delivery model and serve as a strategic business partner to the organization.

Reporting to the EPM Pillar Implementation Lead, the Manager, Business Process - Unifier will lead the output of several planning models within the Plan to Perform stream, consolidating requirements to establish and implement the designated solution for all AC entities. The individual will take part in a multi-year implementation project with the intent to continue in a similar role in the organization.

Key Functions and Responsibilities
  • Drive and implement requirements that support the development of components of the Finance Transformation Program in collaboration with Finance and the Program teams.
  • Drive and implement the strategy and roadmap for both the project and post-implementation of the project.
  • Become the point of contact and reference for the Finance transformation program and for the Finance and Tax teams.
  • Gather and analyze data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Gather and analyze financial planning and forecasting processes employed across Air Canada. Work with SI Partners to automate these processes in the new system
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to the business process managers and the financial business analysts.
  • Work collaboratively with other Process Area members (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Procurement, etc.) to ensure process intersection points are known and optimized.
  • Work as liaison between Finance Data team and the Finance Transformation Program team to ensure delivery meets business needs.
  • Understand needs of the cross-functional teams and provide actionable insights to drive business performance.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends.
  • Provide oversight and key input to the process development.
  • Address risks that may impact the project outcomes and implement corrective action plans.
  • Work collaboratively with other Manager, Business Process (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, International, etc.) to ensure process intersection points are known and optimized.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or a related field.
  • 7+ years of finance related experience in a large company
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience working in an Agile team environment
  • Ability to foster teamwork, and to effectively drive cross-team solutions that have complex dependencies and requirements
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience leading and facilitating workshops with different types of stakeholders
  • Ability to anticipate consequences of situations and be prepared for potential contingencies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud applications are an asset
  • Proficiency with PC software (MSOffice, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven leadership qualities and strong sense of initiative
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude & familiarity with the technical environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to multitask with a strong sense of priorities.
