The incumbent will report to the Manager, Food Services.
As Restaurant Services Manager, you will show a passion for catering and customer service. You will be responsible for achieving excellent operating results by developing new catering offers and promotions with our partner, while ensuring the ongoing satisfaction of our internal clients.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the YUL, YYZ, YVR Catering divisions, while ensuring that service standards are met.
- Develop original concepts and promotions to enhance the reputation of Catering Services.
- Help the Catering divisions achieve their financial and operating targets.
- Help prepare annual budgets and monitor the financial plan.
- Implement effective control procedures.
- Contribute to the development of the annual strategic plan.
- Ensure that service standards are met and strive to continuously improve products and services.
- Ensure the promotion and application of all health, safety and environmental regulations and practices within Corporate Services.
- Verify and approve equipment purchase orders and service contracts.
- Conduct regional unit management audits to ensure compliance with government and accreditation bodies’ regulations and standards, plan improvements to optimize financial performance and operational productivity, and ensure the compliance and quality of services.
- Observe the condition of facilities when visiting establishments for quality control purposes, investigate complaints regarding unit operations and provide satisfactory solutions.
- Conduct and monitor customer satisfaction surveys.
Main duties and activities
- Develop and implement Catering Services promotional strategies with internal clients.
- Direct daily Cafeteria and Catering operations and ensure compliance with service and quality standards.
- Organize weekly Food Services and Catering meetings.
- Ensure compliance with service standards by constantly improving the quality of products and services while increasing volume and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in business administration, or any other relevant field or experience
- At least 7 years of experience relevant to the position
- Proven ability to identify and analyze problems, find solutions and make good decisions
- Ability to work independently, set objectives, draw up work plans, develop processes and set deadlines for a multi-purpose support services division
- Strong oral and written communication skills in order to prepare detailed and precise operating reports, letters, communications, emails, procedures and operating instructions
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
