The South Health Campus (SHC) Surgical Services is an innovative, collaborative, and patient & family centered unit. The SHC has four key pillars of service: Collaborative practice, wellness, patient & family centered care, and innovation. These pillars are guiding the development and delivery of service to all patients and families to SHC. As an Administrative Support III in the Post-Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU), you will be a member of the inter-professional health care team. You will be responsible for greeting patients and visitors, answering multi-line telephones, paging members of the inter-disciplinary team, coordinating the flow of patients, and providing comprehensive clerical support in a busy surgical setting.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk course or equivalent. Completion of an accredited medical terminology course. Demonstrated proficient computer skills with current knowledge and experience in software programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet, Fax and Email.

Experience in an OR and/or PACU setting. Experience with Connect Care. Current knowledge of the OR flow and process at SHC.
