The Advisor, Culture Programs & Initiatives designs, develops, promotes, maintains & manages culture and employee experience-related solutions, performing periodic reviews, analyzing engagement and feedback, providing insights and making recommendations for enhancements/changes as required. These programs and initiatives focus on providing culture enablers and employee experience enhancements for managers, teams and employees aligned to our Purpose, Values, strategic priorities and business objectives, to reinforce desired mindsets and behaviours of our engaged and winning culture.
The Advisor ensures the effective & efficient execution of all deliverables, including change management & communications and mitigating any risk. They also work across internal and external stakeholders, to contribute to successful business outcomes of integrated program or project deliverables, from initiation to implementation and ongoing sustainment.
Responsibilities include:
Design & Delivery
- Leads or participates in defining program plans and interventions designed to positively influence or change behaviour; develops tailored messaging; and identifies appropriate distribution channels.
- Remains alert to new trends, tools and methods of communication, learning or EX design, and makes recommendations on their application.
- Designs and builds assets as dictated by the initiative; may include design and delivery of presentations, facilitated sessions, employee interactions, videos, and other digital solutions.
- Reviews material to ensure it complies with relevant quality standards, including translation requirements.
- Measures and sustains solutions impacting the target audience. Gathers feedback and continually evaluates the effectiveness of content and the vehicles / platforms / tools / technology used to distribute.
- Recommends improvements, changes, additions or deletions of content as necessary, and coordinates with partners to ensure content is up-to-date and relevant.
- Leads the execution of programs; assesses and adapts as needed to ensure quality of execution, deadlines are met and delivered as scheduled.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership
- Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group.
- Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives.
- Recommends and implements HR solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
- Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Hosts and develops Team meetings/ huddle content.
Program, Project & Change Management
- Assists in the development of strategic plans.
- Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
- Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
- Manages multiple HR solutions simultaneously and resolves conflicting priorities.
- Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
- Track status of key activities and raise risks/ issues to program leadership.
- Builds change management plans of varying scope and type; leads or participates in a variety of change management activities including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiatives.
- Monitors and tracks performance and address any issues.
- Drives cross business/group coordination and HR logistical support for the implementation of change.
- Works on HR solutions of varied complexity, typically involving multiple stakeholders across BMO.
Data, Analytics & Reporting
- Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting.
- Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide HR insights and recommendations.
- Develops strategies and tools to measure, analyze and report on the effectiveness of initiatives.
Other
- Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical or administrative/operational support.
- May network with industry contacts to gather and identify competitive insights and best practices.
- Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.
- PowerPoint, Excel - in-depth
- Digital and/or visual media design an asset
- Collaboration & team skills - In-depth.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills - In-depth.
- Change management and communications - In-depth
- Knowledge of Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness, Employee Engagement, and Learning and Development fields are an asset

Pay Type:
The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
