The OpportunityAs an Analyst, Real Estate Accounts, you will be at the forefront of supporting our Real Estate Lending team. This role is uniquely positioned to provide a comprehensive blend of credit analysis, risk management, client engagement, and portfolio management. You will collaborate closely with Relationship Managers and other team members to deliver flawless financial solutions and outstanding client experiences.
The Day-to-DayOutstanding Client Experience. Risk Aware. Effective Teamwork.
Underwrite new and existing credit opportunities, ensuring alignment with branch financial objectives and CWB’s risk appetite.
Assist Relationship Managers in identifying full-service client solutions and referring clients to other business partners as needed.
Prepare comprehensive credit submissions, including new loans, renewals, amendments, and annual reviews, with clear risk assessments and underwriting analysis.
Assist in managing a portfolio of construction loans and term mortgages, including monthly construction draw requests.
Participate in client meetings to analyze loan proposals, prepare pricing recommendations, and draft term sheets.
Ensure all loans operate within credit, audit, and compliance requirements, maintaining high data integrity.
Collaborate with Business Coordinators to fund and manage real estate loans efficiently.
Proactively implement strategies to enhance the client experience in alignment with the company’s brand promise.
The successful incumbent effectively manages credit risk for a portfolio of commercial real estate loans, conducting annual reviews and ongoing monitoring while maintaining independence from sales functions. They excel in facilitation, conflict management, and workload prioritization to meet deadlines during seasonal peaks. With a commitment to minimizing operational losses and adhering to company policies, they foster a positive, high-performing, and inclusive work environment. They embody the organization’s cultural values and demonstrate exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and time management skills.
Foundational knowledge and experience to grow fromDiploma in Business Administration or a related field (specialization in Urban Land Economics or real estate appraisal courses is a strong asset).
Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial or real estate lending, with exposure to construction lending.
Proficiency in financial statement analysis, real estate valuations, and underwriting.
Knowledge of collateral security and documentation requirements.
Strong computer and business modeling skills; experience with banking and loan origination systems is an asset.
