Capgemini is looking for a Mainframe Developer on a fulltime position based in Montreal, Quebec

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement mainframe applications using languages such as COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, and JCL (Job Control Language).
• Work on both batch and online systems, ensuring that applications meet performance and reliability standards.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing mainframe applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.
• Optimize and improve existing code for improved performance and scalability.
  

Required Skills:

• Proven experience COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, VSAM etc. under Mainframe skills.
• Should have good knowledge of COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL and other Mainframe skills.
• Should be able to code and unit test independently without any support.
• Should have experience working on projects which are involved with development / enhancements.
• Strong analytical, good debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Committed to integrity, highly organized, work under deadline schedules with attention to detail, have excellent written and verbal communication skills."

Principales responsabilités :

• Concevoir, développer et mettre en œuvre des applications mainframe à l'aide de langages tels que COBOL, PL/I, Assembler et JCL (Job Control Language).
• Travailler sur des systèmes par lots et en ligne, en veillant à ce que les applications répondent aux normes de performance et de fiabilité.
• Assurer un support et une maintenance continus pour les applications mainframe existantes.
• Dépanner et résoudre les problèmes, garantissant un temps d'arrêt et une interruption minimaux des opérations commerciales.
• Optimiser et améliorer le code existant pour améliorer les performances et l'évolutivité.

Compétences requises :

• Expérience avérée COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, VSAM etc. dans le cadre de compétences Mainframe.
• Doit avoir une bonne connaissance de COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL et d'autres compétences Mainframe.
• Doit être capable de coder et de tester unitairement de manière indépendante, sans aucune assistance.
• Doit avoir une expérience de travail sur des projets impliqués dans le développement/améliorations.
• Solides compétences analytiques, bonnes compétences en débogage et en résolution de problèmes.
• Engagé envers l'intégrité, très organisé, travaillant dans le respect des délais avec une attention aux détails, possédant d'excellentes compétences en communication écrite et verbale.
